First, flatten the round coffee filter, then color it by drawing or doodling on it with washable markers. It doesn’t really matter how you draw it, because in the end, all the colors will blend into each other. So, you can use any water-soluble materials you have at home such as food coloring or watercolor paint. Just keep in mind that the more you color the filter, the brighter and bolder the color will be when it is done.
Once you are finished coloring, place the colored coffee filter on a large zipper bag and then spray it with water evenly.
You can watch how the colors spread and blend with each other.
Make as many as you like and let them dry for a few hours.
Now that they are completely dry, let’s make rolled roses with these colorful coffee filters! First, Draw a swirl with a pencil on the colorful coffee filter.
Then cut the filter along the swirl with scissors.
Roll the swirl from the outside towards the center around using a round stick like a brush.
Once you finish the rolling, remove the stick, and let the rolled filter free. It opens up into a flower. So amazing!
Glue the center of the swirl to the bottom of the flower so it doesn’t get loosened.
You can create artwork with these flowers. Just add some decorations that you want.
