Let’s Make Colorful Flowers With Coffee Filters!
First, flatten the round coffee filter, then color it by drawing or doodling on it with washable markers. It doesn’t really matter how you draw it, because in the end, all the colors will blend into each other. So, you can use any water-soluble materials you have at home such as food coloring or watercolor paint. Just keep in mind that the more you color the filter, the brighter and bolder the color will be when it is done.
Once you are finished coloring, place the colored coffee filter on a large zipper bag and then spray it with water evenly.
You can watch how the colors spread and blend with each other.
Make as many as you like and let them dry for a few hours.
Now that they are completely dry, let’s make flowers with these colorful coffee filters!If you want to try an easy one, I will show you a simple basic flower.
Fold the colored filter into quarters.
Then trim away petal shapes by snipping away small, curved triangles.
When you open the folded filter up, you can see the colorful flower.
Try different types of petal shapes and create various flowers!
You can also stack up several coffee filter flowers of different sizes and shapes.
Then staple the center together. It’s so pretty!
How about transforming these coffee filter flowers into three-dimensional flowers? First, stack several coffee filters of the same size on top of each other, then fold them into quarters. Then staple the center together.
And cut off the petals as before.
Now, carefully pull apart the overlapping filter paper to create a blossom.
